Google Vietnam announced the top 10 keywords for domestic tourist destinations, with the leading position belonging to Ha Long (Quang Ninh).

The list of prominent search trends in the tourism field of Vietnamese people in 2022 was announced by Google Vietnam on December 8 based on data from the Google Trends measurement tool. Accordingly, keywords related to tourism and destinations are searched a lot, indicating a significant recovery of the tourism industry after the pandemic, Google’s report said.

Ha Long ranked first, the next names mentioned are Thuy Chau (Binh Duong), Phu Yen , Ninh Binh , Quy Nhon, Can Tho , Da Lat , Western, Phu Quoc tourist areas, respectively. , Tien Son tourist area (Dong Nai).

Search volume is highest with coastal cities such as Ha Long, Quy Nhon, Phu Yen… highest in summer. Meanwhile, other places not near the sea such as Da Lat, Can Tho… focus on the Lunar New Year, late January, or early February.

According to the Google Trends measurement tool, the demand for the keyword “travel” in 2022 has been equal to the time before the pandemic. Related keywords like “airfare” also increased by 200% compared to the end of 2021.

After Vietnam opened to international visitors from March 15, people can also travel abroad again, the phrase “how to make a passport online” is also searched a lot. International tourism demand also increased over the same period last year. July 25 recorded an increase of 2,400% – the highest this year in terms of searches for international destinations and flight sectors.
