Hundreds of beautiful and rare royal apricot work across the country have gathered in the ancient capital of Hue in recent days.

The first Royal Mai Festival – 2023 will take place from January 9 to January 19 at Thuong Bac Park, Tran Hung Dao Street, Hue City. The event aims to honor and spread the cultural and artistic values ​​of the Hue people and the Hue Hoang Mai brand in every Tet to Spring.

Yellow apricot is a famous flower in Vietnam. For Thua Thien Hue, the yellow apricot with endemic indigenous genetic resources is often called Hue royal apricot, which has been grown for a long time in royal palaces, palaces, palaces, communal courtyards, pagoda doors, and people’s yards. This tree also becomes a symbol of the spring colors of nature and Hue people, associated with the daily life of the people here.

Festival with main activities such as the contest of beautiful apricot works; exhibition and display space; space for exchange and exchange; auction space.

The program has the presence of artisans, organizations and gardeners who are members of Hue Royal Mai Chau Association in Thua Thien Hue province and other provinces and cities with strong apricot growing movements.

In the first time being held, the festival gathers 320 works of royal apricots, of which 70 are large and 250 are small bonsai.

As noted, the weather is warm and sunny, so a lot of people come to visit and take photos at the Hoang Mai Festival.

The works brought to display by Hoang Mai are the quintessential and unique works of each artist.

The chain of activities of the Hoang Mai Festival is a meaningful playground to help restore and develop the tradition of apricot planting and playing with apricot trees associated with the model of “Hue – a city of four seasons of flowers”; preserve, store, develop and aim to create commercial products of Hue apricot tree at home and abroad; enhance the position of the royal apricot in the traditional Tet holiday.

The festival is organized by Hue Festival Center in collaboration with the Hue Royal Maid Association, Center for Conservation of Monuments of Ancient Capital, and Center for Greenery Park to promote the image of Hue royal apricots, towards the construction of Hue into a land. Vietnamese queen.
