The type of persimmon grown here is the Fuyu persimmon native to Japan. This persimmon variety was brought to Moc Chau for trial planting in 2000, and so far, this persimmon has become a local specialty.

The harvest season of Moc Chau crispy persimmon lasts for two months September and October, but many gardeners still keep the ripe persimmon area separate to serve the photography needs of visitors.

At this time, the persimmon has lost all its leaves, revealing clusters of plump, golden berries that stand out in the green space of the mountains.
