The wall of the house gate uses red sand, the typical sand color of the fishing village, making the building stand out while preserving the local tradition.

Because they want to convey the message “Instead of tearing down the old house, people can make it suitable for tourism”, the owner renovated the house according to the criteria of both having its own beauty and keeping the architecture. rustic, natural.

The owner kept the current state of the house, only changed the function and built an additional area for the kitchen.

The house after renovation is divided into 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Because the old tile roof system is preserved, to install the air conditioner, the homeowner combines some other light materials.

The old owners’ wooden sauce jars were also cleaned and used as decorations around the yard.

Loi room is a feature of Phu Yen ancient house style. This is a room located right next to the gate, a place to welcome strangers who can come in and ask for water to drink, and rest or where women weave nets and wait for their husbands to return from the sea… This room represents the spirit of the spirit. the magnanimity of the indigenous people.

The new owner of the house has renovated the Loi room into the main bedroom, outside there are tables and chairs to receive guests with wooden louvers to shield the head from the sun and wind. This design increases the resting place and shows the host’s hospitality in the common spirit.

The old shrimp hatchery was converted into a swimming pool by the owner. The pool tiles are colorful, creating vibrancy when the sun shines down.

From this position, you can see the sea directly. At midnight, you can watch the lighted ships fishing near the shore.

The old owner’s fish sauce warehouse was also renovated into a kitchen and living room with an open, airy space without a door. This design makes it easy for homeowners to communicate with other family members.

The arch separating the kitchen and living room creates a soft transition as well as a highlight for the space.

Wooden furniture was designed by the owner himself, designed in accordance with the common space. The tables and chairs in the house are all made using old boat veins from the nearby shipyard.

Tuy Hoa town also has a terracotta village, so the owner has used this material to make a washbasin, a shelf for hanging clothes, a trash can, etc. to create closeness and friendliness.

The common area has a painting called the Dead Sea, with fish hewn out of wood and trash brought in from the sea and a black sea oil-soaked shipboard.

“The message that I want to send to anyone who sees this painting is not to litter the sea,” the owner said.

Ancient tiles picked up around the village were made into bathtubs.

Handmade ceramic tiles are used in the bathroom and swimming pool areas, making the house more colorful.
