Understanding that, Mr. Bao has launched a collection of flowers made from 2 USD bills on the occasion of Tet with the desire to give customers all the luck in the new year.

He said he has been making flowers from 2 USD bills for 16 years, he claims to be the first person to make flowers from dollar bills. During the years of pursuing this subject, every year his products are very attractive.

“Because the flowers made from my banknote are completely hand-folded, there is no cutting or pasting from the stigma, petals to sepals. Along with the combination of other decorations such as: peacock feathers, locust trees, etc., my products have a unique, sophisticated and luxurious design, few places can do it”, he shared.

Currently, he makes two types of roses and peonies. According to him, roses are made from 1 folded $2 bill, while peonies will use 4-8 bills to fold them. 

Folding flowers is not easy. Mr. Bao said that folding and bending the petals is very simple, almost anyone can do it, but to fold both the stamens and sepals from that bill and the petals are not pointed, look pleasing and pleasing to the eye. Real flowers are very difficult, requiring high techniques.

Each vase of these flowers costs from a few million to tens of millions of dong.

The flowers are finished, he will put them in vases and combine them with other decorations. Each vase will sell for a price ranging from a few million to several tens of millions of dong/product, depending on the number of flowers in the vase.

“Usually, customers often choose a vase with 9 flowers and 18 flowers according to feng shui. This flower is both beautiful, durable, and unique and has a feng shui meaning. If you don’t like the display, users can remove it and can use the money as usual,” he shared.

Customers can order as many as they want.

Because this product is completely handmade, it takes time to make, customers need to book in advance so that their shop can prepare and deliver the best products to customers.

Every year, he usually only accepts orders until about 25-26 Tet, but after that date, he will refuse all.

Last year, he also sold more than a dozen of these vases, the highest vase he ever made cost more than 30 million dongs.($1=25,000 VND)
