Watch the sunrise and sunset at Mui Lay

QUANG TRI – Mui Lay is a wild and peaceful place, suitable for watching both the most beautiful moments of the sun in the day.

Mui Lay is a rocky headland encroaching on the sea about 500 m in Vinh Moc village, Vinh Thach commune, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province . There is a peaceful beach here, a place where you can camp and watch both sunrise and sunset. Many locals often come here, but this place is not popular with tourists from outside the province.

The central sun is harsh in the middle of summer, but it also helps the sunrise and sunset at the sea become more spectacular. Visitors also have to work hard to get up early, or come back late to enjoy the cool air, leave when the sun begins to rise to the top or when it completely sinks.

Tran Minh Hieu, a tour guide in Da Lat returning to his hometown of Quang Tri, did not forget to visit Mui Lay, once to watch the sunrise and once to watch the sunset. He brought tents, tables and chairs to the moment of dawn and dusk about 30 minutes to an hour to set up the tent. “This season, if you go to the sea at 17:20 – 17:45, you can see a very beautiful sunset,” Hieu shared.

In his eyes, Mui Lay has many large beaches suitable for camping, the beach is beautiful and peaceful, the waves are light, the sea is calm. The moment I sit and watch the sunset here, there are many emotions for him. “Everyone in our group was silent and dazed when the sunset began to appear.” Watching the sunrise here, the feeling is similar. He shared that he was camping on a large rock, surrounded by no or no guests, so he felt very peaceful, like “a world of his own”.

Moving to Mui Lay is not difficult, you look up Google Maps and then go straight to the yard, motorbikes and cars can all move to the campground. Around the sea there are a number of local grocery stores, you can buy more items if you lack. A special feature for guests coming here to swim is that the beach at Mui Lay has an ancient water well, which can be used comfortably when swimming. Not far away is Vinh Moc tunnels, you can combine sightseeing.
